Microïds Games for All announces “Alice: Behind the Mirror”, a new hidden objects on iOS and soon Android.
In this new title “Alice: Behind the mirror”, freely based on Lewis Carroll’s masterpiece, players embody Alice in an original plot. After a first journey in the mad universe of Wonderland, our young heroin is forced to go back in this colorful interactive adventure.
Wonderland is in danger as the Jabberwock, a terrifying fantastic creature, has been awoken. His wish is to suppress all fantasy in Wonderland and maintain law and order, which is inconceivable for its weird inhabitants. Alice is here to give a hand to the characters of the famous tale while the Cheshire Cat, who accompanies her throughout the adventure, looks on. Free the White Rabbit from its cage, help the Queen of Hearts find her head, reconcile the Mad Hatter with “Time”: the journey takes the players in Lewis Carroll’s nutty universe where they will have to complete several missions.
In this epic story, players look for hidden objects and play mini-games in order to collect accessories necessary to progress. Observation, exploration and deduction skills are required. Players evolve freely in fourteen different environments where they interact with the various characters and some elements of the scenery. Multiple challenges await the players: start the Queen’s train, find the Mad Hatter’s teapot or complete a puzzle game to unlock a specific area…
The interface includes an inventory the players refer to at any time, as well as clues and a remainder of the goals to help them. Some cinematics tell the story and some animations are included in the scenery, making this an immersive and living game. The musical ambiance and the elaborate graphic design create a specific atmosphere for each level. Also, forty-eight fun facts related to Alice and her author are scattered throughout the adventure, hidden behind the Cheshire Cat’s face.
The game is meant for all kinds of players. If needed, a permanent help system is available, reminding the goals that Alice has to reach and giving clues in the hidden objects scenes (to spot the object). The players have to wait a set time before using this bonus again. It is possible to skip the puzzle games if they don’t find the solution within a limited time.
“Alice Behind the Mirror” is available as of March 27 2014 on iOS and soon Android in English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese, Russian and Brazilian Portuguese.
