As 2014 draws to an end, Tikipod Ltd announces the first of its two indie titles which it is bringing to PS4 and PSVita this year.
The cats return once again to PlayStation in this ultimate version – ‘Aqua Kitty – Milk Mine Defender DX’ ! Built up from the award winning PSMobile launch title, this special DX edition comes to PS4 and PSVita with a flood of enhancements.
The action packed underwater kitten defending retro cute-em-up will launch on the PSN store on the 25th and 26th of November for the US and EU stores respectively.
THE GAME STORY
Due to a sudden shortage of milk, cats around the world are forced to seek out new sources to get their fix.
You and your team of milk mining kittens have overcome a fear of water to drill down under the ocean seabed and begin extracting vast reserves of what seems to be naturally forming full-fat milk.
Get ready for fast paced submarine action, defending the kittens from disruptive mechanical sea creatures. THE MILK MUST FLOW!
GAME FEATURES
Aqua Kitty is a 2D pixel drawn arcade shooter, created with a love of the 16-bit gaming era and late 80s video arcade games. This ultimate PS4 and PSVita version features a mass of changes compared to the original, some big some small – here are a few:
New large enemy Bosses and extra enemy types.
Extra and reworked levels.
CrossBuy and CrossSave.
New directional weapons systems to help you rescue airborne abducted kittens.
New Easy mode for players who like a more relaxed challenge.
New Arcade mode, which fuses the gameplay of Defender with the upgrade system of Gradius.
A wide range of graphical upgrades, particles, effects and useful hud indicators.
Both games of course run at 60HZ.
PS4 ONLY: 2 player local coop, PS4 controller light and sound effects, 1080p (actually rendered at 4k on the GPU).
CRITICAL RESPONSE
Previous versions on of the game have reviewed very well at 8/10 or better (Steam reviews are also rated as ‘Very Positive’).
Those versions have also picked up awards and nominations from PSNSTORES, TIGA and POCKETGAMER.
