Cato and Macro, on the App Store and Google Play.

Today, multi-award winning game developer Amuzo has released Roman battle strategy game Cato and Macro, on the App Store and Google Play.

The game is based on the novels of bestselling author Simon Scarrow. Join Cato and Macro in their fight to defend and expand the Roman Empire. March your way across the blood-soaked battlefields of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East building barracks, collecting resources and slaying perilous enemies.

Author Simon Scarrow commented, “It was really important to me that the game stay true to the Cato and Macro novels and I’m delighted with how it’s turned out. Expect to see plenty of blood, brutality and Macro-isms!”

Amuzo has been working closely with Simon Scarrow and leading UK publisher Headline Publishing to develop the game in line with Simon’s latest novel, Brothers in Blood, published 9th October 2014.

Amuzo’s Managing Director Mike Hawkyard enthused, “As a fan of the books it was an honour to help bring Cato and Macro to life on smart devices. I think players are really going to like the battles as well as gain more insight into the ruthless world Simon Scarrow’s characters inhabit.”

Along your death-defying journey through the game you will discover Cato and Macro’s special battle abilities as well as unlock exclusive author notes and extracts from the bestselling book series.

Put your empire-building skills to the test as you build a fort, expand your barracks, collect essential resources to keep your soldiers in battle condition and maintain a Roman settlement to prepare your army for hordes of oncoming barbarian forces.

Cato and Macro is now free to download from the iTunes App Store and Google Play. There will also be the option to purchase additional exclusive content such as the Praetorian and the ultimate weapon, The Flaming Pig!

Think tactically and master your battle strategy to conquer your way through the perilous levels. Slash, blast and fire your way to victory leaving decapitated enemies in your wake!

Brothers in Blood by Simon Scarrow is available now in hardback and as an e-book. A Windows 8 version of the mobile game is set to be available for download early in 2015.
