Compulsion Games today launched its digital download 2D/3D puzzle-platformer CONTRAST™ for PC , PlayStation ® 4 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. Compulsion Games is not only celebrating the launch of the title but the community that helped to bring the highly anticipated Indie game to light from the start, beginning with the Steam Greenlight™ program. As one of the first games to be “Greenlit”, the support continued and swelled with hands-on consumers experiences such as PAX East to its release today.

CONTRAST draws players into a surreal 1920s dreamscape; a vaudevillian, film noir-inspired world where the boundaries between showmanship, magic, intrigue and deception are blurred. Players take on the role of Dawn, the imaginary friend of a little girl, Didi. Every imaginary friend is special, and Dawn is no exception. She has the unique ability to shift from the striking 3D fantasy stage into the mysterious 2D shadowscape. Like every family, Didi’s isn’t perfect; in fact they are as unique as they come with an aspiring cabaret singer mother and an absentee father. Didi’s only wish is to reunite her family. As Dawn, use shadow shifting abilities to solve intricate puzzles and uncover the secrets that plagues the family’s past.
CONTRAST is available in North America for the PC on the Steam® Storeand for PlayStation ® 4 system through PlayStation®Store and Xbox360 via Xbox® Games Store. CONTRAST for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system will launch on the PlayStation Store November 19, 2013. The standard digital edition is available at an MSRP of $14.99 (USD). The Collector’s Edition is available at an MSRP of $19.99 (USD). The PlayStation ® 4 system version will also be available in the Instant Game Collection free to PlayStation®Plus members for a limited time. This title has been rated T (Teen) by the ESRB.
CONTRAST has also launched in European territories for the PC and Xbox 360. The PlayStation 3 version will release on November 20 with thePlayStation®4 system version launching on November 29.
