Next Games, the Finnish mobile games studio created by veteran talent from Supercell, Rovio and Disney, today announced the worldwide release of its premier action strategy title, Compass Point: West ™, on iOS smartphones and tablets.

Compass Point: West is an engaging, free-to-download action strategy game featuring stunning 3D graphics, highly polished gameplay and a fun and rewarding card collecting system introduced in a new, original way to the mass casual audience on mobile. The game takes players on a journey to the old Wild West where they join friends and saddle up for an epic adventure, exploring the open frontier while fighting the hostile takeover plans of notorious oil tycoon, Orville Driller. Along the way, players will build their own outposts, collect cards to summon allies and encounter a wide range of characters, each with their own, unique personalities in their mission to save the Wild West.
To support the global release of Compass Point: West, Next Games collaborated with premium content producer IDW Publishing to create an original comic to expand on the game’s story. IDW is an award-winning publisher of comic books, renowned for its diverse catalog of licensed and independent titles, including Hasbro’s The TRANSFORMERS and Paramount/CBS’s Star Trek. The Compass Point: West comic is distributed worldwide through multiple platforms, including Apple iBooks and Google Play, and is now available on www.compasspointwest.com for fans to enjoy.

The original soundtrack for Compass Point: West was composed by award-winning music and audio designer Ari Pulkkinen, whose past credits include work on critically acclaimed series like Angry Birds, Resogun and Trine. The score is now available on iTunes.
Compass Point: West is the first in a series of four games, including North, East and South, Next Games is developing based on its internal IP. With the Compass Point Series, Next Games aims to develop a leading franchise of games banded together by the same principles of original, engaging gaming experience and gorgeous graphics. In addition, Next Games is developing a mobile game based on AMC’s record-breaking television program, The Walking Dead.
