What is it like to play?
At it’s heart NeonXSZ is a mouse-look twitch shooter. Don’t be dusting off your old joystick or Xbox controller for this one.
Experience the feel, speed and responsiveness of classic shooters like Quake or Unreal Tournament combined with spaceships trapped inside enormous internal environments. Then imagine the loot explosions, procedurally generated enemies, shops and replayability of a typical ARPG.
The core gameplay revolves around adrenaline-fueled, high-speed, spaceship dogfighting. Gunships are small, lightning fast, and have the ability to strafe in all directions with instant turning in zero gravity. Create anything from blisteringly fast fighters to slow, heavy, tank like destroyers and redesign them with nearly one thousand lootable upgrades to create your ultimate war machine.
Learn to dominate the massive sandbox open-world or progress through dozens of ever more challenging arenas in a very personal journey of experimentation and discovery.

◾Test your strength in dozens of non-procedurally generated Challenge Arenas with multi-stage events and high level loot rewards.
◾Get into the zone with butter smooth physics based ship controls and combat
◾Lose yourself in 60-200+ hours of constantly evolving sandbox content
◾Take on ~1000 simultaneous persistent enemies per world
◾Fight with or against four warring factions per world.
◾Tweak the game to suit your mood with customizable enemy artificial intelligence and skill levels
◾Experience unpredictable enemies with individual procedurally generated intelligence and skill
◾Loot and fly dozens of ships, and hundreds of upgrades and gadgets.
◾Hotkey everything or enter interrupt mode to control your ship’s systems via the fully interactive cockpit
◾Change the look of the entire world and your ship, at any time, to suit your tastes.
◾Choose your targets based on ‘Real Loot’:
◾ Both the player and enemies have access to the exact same pool of ships, weapons, and upgrades.
◾ Kill an enemy and it will drop parts of every piece of equipment it has installed, and is using, as loot.
◾ Every ship’s level is defined by the technology level of the equipment it has installed not some arbitrary number. If a ship is higher level than you then it’s because it’s using better equipment than you and if you kill it then it will drop all of that equipment as loot. It will even drop parts of the hull and weapons it is using allowing you to collect and install those too.
◾ Basically, if you can see it, you can loot it, fly it, and use it.
◾Then buy and sell your looted upgrades, weapons, and ship Hulls at hundreds of docking bays throughout the world.
◾ Install ever more powerful loot to beat ever more powerful enemies to dig ever deeper into the seemingly endless rabbit hole that is NeonXSZ, and maybe, just maybe, you will be one of the very few players to ever escape.
