Beveled Edge Studios a new Houston based indie studio has launched its debut mobile title Starific. Frenetic and stylish, Starific is an endless arcade reactor where you set off epic chain reactions and catch awesome powerups to keep your stellar hopes alive.
Starific’s gameplay isn’t like anything else. If you had to nail it down it would be as if Geometry Wars, Breakout and Bomberman had a 3-way love child.
Whether you’re rebounding stars with your paddle or teeing off the perfect move, you’ll find each game is nothing like the last one. Procedurally generated yet finely tuned, the dozens of unique powerups synergize for a new emergent experience every time. Tailored for different play styles some modes are a test of reflexes and others are a cerebral puzzle, but they’ll all keep you coming back again and again.
While you’re being dazzled by those bombs you might miss Starific is the first game ever to make radial design “just feel right” on touch devices. “The controls are easier to use than describe, it’s not tapping or swiping but arc motion whatever that means, just let me get back to playing,” said user Cameron Stout.
And when you’re not busy causing cosmic chaos you can complete hundreds of quests and win tons of unlockables that are rumored to make you highly attractive to the opposite sex. Oh yeah, Starific is FREE, has no IAPs and optional ads.

William Greklek of TouchArcade forums said “I’ve been testing Starific for weeks and I don’t have words high enough for it. It’s just a fantastically fun game with lots of polish. The UI and the controls are fantastic. The dev has really put a lot into it.”
Ben Graham of TIGSource forums said “Starific is one of those games that has hit written all over it, I’m going to be telling my friends I played it back when it was in beta.”
Daniel Bailiff of /r/GameDev said “I had 5 minutes to burn so I turned on Starific. Then I saw all the explosions, the stars and the powerups and I couldn’t put it down. I looked at the clock and it was 90 minutes later. Be warned it’s addicting.”
So, do you have what it takes to play this all-star classic in the making?
