Rocket City Studios, Inc. today announced the release of their debut video game Second Chance Heroes, a cooperative arcade action adventure where players collect and play as clones of famous historical figures to fight off an apocalypse of the absurd.
“We are very pleased with the game and excited to see people play,” said Matthew Newhook, President of Rocket City Studios Canada, Inc. “Second Chance Heroes is a lot of fun and doesn’t take itself too seriously. We know people will enjoy it.”
Players explore an overrun mall, a mystical underground hobo colony and a secret government bunker in a three player cooperative adventure that pits them against werewolves, zombies, sentient cheeseburgers and more. The game features 12 playable historical figures to collect, each with their own unique abilities. They include a mini-gun toting Queen Elizabeth I, a chainsaw swinging Abraham Lincoln, and a wooden mech suit clad Leonardo da Vinci.
Second Chance Heroes is available to download and play for free. Supported by in-app purchases, players can buy access to additional heroes, abilities, boosters and lives. Gamers with an iPhone 4S or higher, or an iPad 2 or higher will find it in Apple’s App Store.
The game was made possible in part by the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Innovation, Business and Rural Development.
