Introducing the debut title from FingerPunch Games: Runes of Camelot, a match-3 puzzler set in Arthurian times.
In Runes of Camelot, Morgana is up to her old tricks and has unleashed a horrifying curse across Avalon. Queen Guinevere, and the Knights of the Round Table, have been turned to stone and Arthur’s subjects have been infected with the plague. With Merlin’s spellbooks, stolen by Morgana’s ravens, and scattered across Avalon, Camelot has been left in complete disarray. It has become Amelia, and Arthur’s quest to bring the kingdom back to prosperity.
From Camelot, through Tower Valley and onto Morgana’s Tower, you play as either King Arthur or Merlin’s apprentice, Amelia, in a series of mini-games, boss battles and match-3 grids. The game is fully narrated from each characters point of view, making both adventures unique and guaranteeing around 20 unique hours of gameplay across both playthroughs. With more character development than any other match-3 puzzler, beautiful artwork and an uplifting soundtrack, Runes of Camelot aims to be a real breath of fresh air in a particularly busy corner of the gaming market.
Every 5th and 6th level, players will encounter two different mini-games to break up the action, Raven Restrain and Merlin’s Magic Potions. There are also numerous quirks, such as special abilities, and unique tiles that obstruct the player’s progress.
In addition, Runes of Camelot features boss battles, pitting Arthur and Amelia against key figures from Arthurian legend, and all manner of horrid abominations.

Adam Griffiths, Owner and Creative Director at FingerPunch Games, had this to say about the game’s launch.
“ We’re really excited, and very pleased, to be able to release Runes of Camelot to the casual, match 3 games market and are eagerly awaiting the feedback from the gaming public. Match 3 games are inspiring, complex and packed full of fun. They’re a very interesting, and challenging genre to work with, and we truly hope that people enjoy what we’ve managed to achieve with Runes. We’re especially proud of the fantastic, dual character, storylines that have been implemented for each of our game characters. For those who love a great storyline to follow, in their games…Runes of Camelot is a great place to start and a lot of effort has been made to ensure that the characters take you on their, very personal, journeys..”
Runes of Camelot has been created in collaboration with CEMAS, an ERDF project, which aims to help small businesses in Wales develop mobile applications and services.
Adam Griffiths is available for interviews. If interested, please email adam.griffiths@fingerpunchgames.com with your questions and we’ll get them answered as soon as possible.
There is no embargo on coverage, though if you could keep the presence of later bosses a secret, as well as the game’s ending, that would be much appreciated.
