SiChris Productions is happy to announce that the critically acclaimed interactive fiction game PataNoir is now available for purchase on Steam, featuring an innovative simulated book interface, high-quality illustrations, a map of the game world and an integrated music video.
About PataNoir
“The Baron’s daughter is missing, and you are the man to find her. No problem. With your inexhaustible arsenal of hard-boiled similes, there is nothing you can’t handle.”
PataNoir is a homage to the classic stories of hard-boiled private investigators with a knack for describing everything with complex similes and metaphors. In PataNoir, you solve problems by manipulating the hard-boiled metaphors used by the main character to make sense of the world in which he lives. Each metaphor used to describe the game world becomes an object that the can be used by the player to solve problems.
The game is structured like a classic text-adventure game. The game world is described with prose juxtaposed with high-quality illustrations, and the player interacts with the game by typing in simple commands.
PataNoir is already available for iOS and Android, but the PC version features a much more sophisticated interface and a never before seen map of the game world.
