App developer Justin Davis is pleased to announce his first game is available in the iTunes store. The arcade style game, titled Purrocket, has been thrilling gamers around the world since its release.
The object of the game is travel through space, collecting as many missing space cats as possible. Along the way, aliens come along to try and stop the player from rescuing the cats. The game features a unique hand-drawn look that is reminiscent of the old arcade games. Players receive points for every cat they rescue, and lose points for every cat they cannot save.
Review site Intellectuap raved, “Purrocket is challenging in a way that is addicting, but not that hard that will force you to quit the game.”
“It comes with a lot of fun, intelligent and fluid graphics,” added the site Appyzilla.com.
Since Purrocket’s release, the game has undergone a number of changes and more are coming soon. Among these improvements are a new control system, new music, and increased difficulty as the game progresses.
Other added features include cat combos, which get the player bonus points for every five cats they rescue, as well as adjustments to the speed of the rockets and an energy bar that turns red when the player has one energy point left.
The Purrocket app is a free game that also offers a paid add-free version.
