Toxic Games’ indie hit QUBE: Director’s Cut is coming to Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft via the ID@Xbox self-publishing program, the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Wii U™ video game system – all published by GRIP Digital s.r.o.
Q.U.B.E: Director’s Cut is the definitive version of the brain-twisting first-person puzzler. Using high-tech gloves, the player manipulates cubes in the environment to solve an array of conundrums – from physics puzzles to 3D jigsaws and platform challenges; all whilst trying to figure out what the ‘Qube’ really is.
“We’re proud to be working on such a fan-favorite; one of the gems of the indie gaming scene. This version of QUBE is going to be the best one yet, with a new mysterious story, new music and a time trial mode”, says Jakub Mikyska from Grip Games.
To create the story for the Director’s Cut, Toxic Games brought in industry veteran Rob Yescombe – writer on franchises including RIME, ALIEN: ISOLATION, and THE DIVISION; winner of Best Thriller Screenplay at the Creative World Awards, the screenwriting Award of Excellence at the Canada International Film Festival, and one of only 15 writers on The Brit List 2014.
Q.U.B.E: Director’s Cut will launch on all supported platforms in Summer 2015.
