Games Foundation is proud to announce that Traxion is now available for all Apple devices. It’s a sci-fi themed, physics-based arcade-shooter, in the tradition of cave flyers such as “Thrust” or “Gravity Crash”. What makes Traxion cooler than others in its genre is the fact that the entire game world, and all objects in it, are affected by physics. This has allowed the developers to create very interesting situations and challenges for the player. All levels in the game are designed around physical puzzles.
In the role of a daring starship pilot, you embark on a series of neck-breaking missions in outer space. Navigate your ship through the caves of dangerous alien planets and find the valuable crystals hidden there. Tow them back to the planet’s surface, using your ship’s tractor beam. But be careful – enemy patrol ships and other kind of hostile alien creatures are out to get you!
During your explorations of alien environments and their vast cave systems, you will find all kinds of contraptions, such as switches, explosive charges, force-fields and various pieces of alien machinery that you can use to your advantage. Moreover, in order to succeed in your mission on each planet, you’ll have to fight rather terrifying boss-monsters.
The controls are designed to be as simple and intuitive as possible: use one finger to navigate your ship, and a second one to control the laser gun. It all feels very natural and there are no on-screen buttons to get in the way.
Get Traxion now for all Apple devices, for $1.99: iOS or Mac.
The game will soon be made available for Windows, Android and on Steam.
