Finnish multiplatform game developer 10tons announced today the top-down hardcore shooter Crimsonland is now available for iOS devices on iTunes App Store. The game is free to download with a single “pay-what-you-want” in app purchase to unlock all content.

As we worked on the iOS version we were surprised how well the onscreen dual stick controls work especially on the iPad. Naturally we support dual stick MFi controllers as well. Crimsonland is an intense top-down shooter where the player fights a relentless onslaught of mutant lizards, giant spiders, zombies and more. The game features plenty of gore, tons of gibs, dozens of weapons and a perk system that draws inspiration from role playing games. Playing the 60 mission campaign unlocks the full arsenal for the immensely gratifying Survival mode with Game Center leaderboards.
Crimsonland HD is a remastered version of 10tons Ltd.’s first game originally released in 2003. With completely new HD graphics, new content, new user interface, and other enhancements, Crimsonland HD is set to appeal to new and old fans alike.
