Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III, Howling Banshees in the spotlight (Video)

As we gear up toward the release of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III, SEGA and Relic Entertainment will be unveiling some of the new and returning units that fans will be able to command.

Fast, precise, and devastating, the Howling Banshees are a highly trained caste of female Aspect Warriors. Lightly equipped so as to remain agile in the heart of close combat, they fight with a ferocity that most Eldar believe was reaped from the war god Kaela Mensha Khaine himself.

Armed with Shuriken Pistols and Power Swords, the Howling Banshee’s deadliest instrument is instead worn. The Banshee Mask is equipped with a powerful sonic amplifier that emits the Howling Banshee’s signature shrieks all around her. The effect is a shriek so powerful that enemies are paralyzed in fear, frozen in the moment before their demise.

The Howling Banshee’s playstyle is very unique. While weak in smaller numbers, larger Banshee squads can be absolutely devastating. By combining their swift movement and crowd control abilities, Banshees can lock up enemy squads and keep them at a standstill while ranged units wreak havoc from afar. See them in all their glory on the unit spotlight page here.
