Independent developer Nyamyam is announcing today that Tengami is now available for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. The game is selling for $4.99/ £2.99/€4.49/¥500 as a universal app on the AppStore.
About Tengami
Tengami is an atmospheric adventure game set inside a Japanese pop-up book. Set in Japan of ancient dark fairy tales, players take on the role of a lone wanderer as they unfold what lies behind their journey. Feel a sense of wonder as you flip, fold, slide and pull the world around you to solve puzzles and discover mysteries.
Thanks to is unique gameplay and striking art style, Tengami has been nominated for various gaming awards during its 3-year development cycle, most notably the SXSW Gaming Awards and IndieCade.
Tengami’s pop-up world is comprised of 133 authentically folding pop-ups, all of which could be re-created in real life with paper, scissors and glue. The game is powered by Nyamyam’s proprietary pop-up engine, called the Paper Kit. The Paper Kit is a first of its kind technology that makes the creation of authentic digital pop-ups possible. Tengami also uses Havok Physics, AI and Animation, Audiokinetic’s sound solution Wwise, as well as the visual effects tool Bishamon by Japanese developer Matchlock.
Tengami is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Turkish, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Swedish and Danish. The game requires iOS7 and supports iPhone4 and newer, iPad2 and newer, and 5th generation iPod Touch. Later this year Tengami is scheduled for release on Wii U, OS X and Windows.
