After 10 years since it’s original release on PDA devices, celebrated Polish independent game developer Infinite Dreams is delighted to announce the launch of Sky Force 2014 for iOS and Android devices.
“Sky Force has been the jewel in Infinite Dreams’ crown for a long time, and it’s a franchise we care very deeply about,” explains co-founder Marek Wyszynski. “We knew we had to create something extra special to celebrate the game’s 10th anniversary, and we’re very proud of how Sky Force 2014 has evolved.”
This new edition to the long-running series puts players in the cockpit of a lone fighter as it flies into battle across action-packed vertical shooter levels. Huge boss fights are included, and an elaborate upgrade system allows players to boost their firepower, shields, missiles, bombs, star-collecting magnets and more.
“Although we worked hard to make sure Sky Force 2014 meets all the expectations that fans have after 10 years, it was important for us to deliver something brand new to the experience as well,” Wyszynski continues. “We wanted to give the game a social element that didn’t conflict with the scrolling shoot-‘em-up concept. We’re incredibly excited to see the reactions to the new weekly tournament system that we’ve developed to meet this need.”
Each week, players will be invited to go head-to-head against friends and other Sky Force 2014 playes in unique, high-octane tournaments. These matches will take place on brand new levels and even allow players to rescue their fallen opponents to gain extra lives, stars and more.
Sky Force 2014 is a universal app for iOS and Android devices, and is entirely free-to-play. It is a perfect arcade experience for both casual and hardcore gamers alike.
