Fate/Grand Order is available for iOS and Android

Aniplex of America announced that Fate/Grand Order is now available in North America for iOS and Android. Previously only available in select Asian markets (Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau) the free-to-play game continues to outperform other mobile games such as Pokémon GO, Clash Royale, and Candy Crush Saga in worldwide revenue.

Prior to launch, Aniplex staged a highly successful social media campaign on Facebook which allowed fans to unlock exciting content for the game. In-game prizes included the Craft Essence “Beginning of the Journey,” 6,000 Friend Points, ten 4-star Blaze of Wisdom, five each of the 3-star Hero Crystals Sun Fou and Star Fou, a whopping 42 Saint Quartz, and one 4-star Servant from a choice of ten. Additionally, players unlocked the Saber Class Servant SABER LILY. This is Saber after she drew Caliburn the Sword of Selection from the stone, and set off on her path as King. Characterized by her sweet demeanor and lily-like features, her eyes shine bright with hope. Her great intuition and sensitivity toward others mean she cannot ignore those in need. Those touched by her benevolence and generosity call her the “Knight Princess.”

One of the most successful mobile role-playing games ever in Japan, Fate/Grand Order has players summon powerful allies or Heroic Spirits, who are based on historical figures such as King Arthur, William Shakespeare, Hercules, and Joan of Arc. The game takes players back through history to embark on an epic quest known as Grand Order. Released July 2015 in Japan, last fall in China, and just this past month in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau, Fate/Grand Order has been downloaded over 9 million times. It has consistently topped iOS and Android charts, outperforming other popular games in downloads and revenue. The game’s exciting storyline and compelling play keep fans engaged and wanting more.

“We are overwhelmed and honored by the excitement of our fans,” said Atsuhiro Iwakami, the president of Aniplex Inc. and the producer of Fate/Grand Order. “They were able to unlock many in-game prizes via the Facebook contest, and we are thrilled to be finally launching the game in North America.”
