The last stand for the ants?
You asked for it and we’ve answered your player prayers! Welcome Antology, a brand spanking new level pack for Anthill on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. It launches worldwide TODAY as an in-app purchase in the latest version of Anthill (4.1), and will be available at $0.99. Yep, for one measly dollar (or the equivalent) you get 8 fresh levels and a new infinity mode called Ceaseless Mayhem! And that’s not all: Anthill (excluding Temple of Bloom) is at the moment completely free through the FreeAppADay.com App and on the App Store.
So what has the Anthill team been up to as of late? Naturally they’ve gotten up to all sorts of antics, but they actually saved their top-notch devilry for the players, in form of the devilishly tricky levels in Antology. Those pesky insects are acting up again, and they’re tougher than ever. General Hardass and the rest of the ants need your help. But beware: Antology is not for the faint of heart.
The real deal
Anthill is a tactical trail defense game based on the real-world behavior of ants. The game lets you engage in the mission to protect your hill as wave upon wave of enemy bugs are thrown at you. Antology is the natural sequel to the latest campaign, Temple of Bloom. We recommend that you play that before downloading Antology, since Temple of Bloom contains powerful upgrades for your ants. You’ll need them, as Antology is designed to give long-time fans a good challenge. Or in the sweet words of Image & Form CEO Brjann Sigurgeirsson:
”Never before have the odds been so stacked against the ants. Even I can’t ace the new levels, and I’m one of its founding fathers… It’s fr*ckin’ tough, man!”
Thanks to Anthill’s immersive gameplay, unique mechanics and stunning presentation, praise has been unanimous. It’s one of the highest-rated games on the App Store ever, with an incredible rating of 4.82 out of 5 stars based on more than 27 000 user reviews.
