In Zoo Park you care for over 40 animals from all four corners of the earth including lion, gorilla, coyote, puma, moose, raccoon, wolverine, snow leopard and the black bear. Like any modern animal care facility in the 21st Century, you will need to run a professional programme of rescue, rehabilitation, research and conservation to promote understanding and care of all the animals under your control.

Where Zoo Park differentiates itself from other zoo style management simulations is that the gameplay cares as much about the rehabilitation of endangered animals as it does about building a thriving commercial business. Rehabilitation and research are core challenges within the game and there are large rewards for rescuing endangered species in peril, helping them return to health and then releasing them back into the wild.

Excalibur’s Richard Barclay offered: “Management games are traditionally about commercial exploitation and the bottom line. While this aggressively greed-oriented slant isn’t as unsavoury as war or gratuitous violence, it’s still a somewhat selfish concept and Excalibur is deliberately and actively trying to redress the balance with this product.”
