INDIE STUDIO PIXELBOMB GAMES IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE FULL PRE-ALPHA DEMO is now available for free online from their website, www.b-fb.net.
Brand new screenshots have just been released on Steam revealing a wave of new enemies. While the crosshairs so far have shown up malicious ‘Rebel Troopers’ – a break away from the traditional rebel’ narrative – the new enemies appear to be mostly reptilian.
According to the developers’ initial storyline drafts, these new ‘Screechers’ are represent themes of astro-ecology and mutation.
The team behind #BFBGame include cult game developers Philip Muwanga and Lee Blacklock.
Of the demo release, Lead Developer Lee said: “We are still creating a game after all – but we can look out of our window and go ‘hey, let’s make this more… epic,’” says Lee, discussing the game’s Manchester setting.
Phil said: “We don’t want to give too much away just yet, but alien life forms and the fauna they could bring…” is an example of the sci-fi undercurrent, which permeates through the gore and the architectural studies so dominant within the game.
The team is not yet commenting on the full details around early-access or further story development, due to a potential storyline spoiler.
A jam-packed and successful demo launch at PlayExpo in Manchester saw industry figures from Microsoft, Sony, Sega and local game developers take interest; and the demo – currently on version 0.02 – is now available for free online from http://www.b-fb.net .
The long-awaited demo provides hands-on access to a full hour of the horror/sci-fi crossover game.
