Goodnight Little Sandman: New Bedtime App Released for iPhone and iPad

The Little Sandman is a fixture on German television, with new episodes aired daily for more than 55 years now. Today Goodnight Little Sandman, a bedtime app featuring Germany’s most beloved dream bringer, has been published on the App Store. It is the first internationally available app under the Little Sandman brand. The app is priced at $/€ 3.99, will run on iPads and iPhones (with other platforms coming later) and is free of IAP (in-app-purchase) options. Goodnight Little Sandman is available worldwide and has been fully localized in seven languages: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese.

Goodnight Little Sandman is specifically tailored for children between two and five years. The app aims to provide a soothing evening ritual for the little ones: In three hand drawn dream worlds with magical sounds they help the Little Sandman with his daily task: Bringing the magic dream sand to animals, kids and parents to let them fall asleep. When everybody sleeps it’s the children’s time to receive a little bit of sand so they can finally say “Goodnight Little Sandman” before going to bed themselves. Parents get to decide how many dream worlds the kids may explore, thus determining the length of the going-to-bed ritual.
