Hanaji Games announces Mecha Ritz: Steel Rondo, a vertical scrolling shoot ‘em up, for Steam Greenlight launching on April 5, 2016. Originally released by Japanese doujin game circle HEY in limited physical CD quantities, Hanaji Games hopes to bring this game to international and digital stores.
“Mecha Ritz: Steel Rondo is an amazing retro style shoot ‘em up that looks like an undiscovered Sega Saturn gem, waiting to be played,” said Hanaji Games co-founder Alvin Phu. “You can tell the developer truly loved that era of games, and it shows in the game. Along with modern design sensibilities and a cool soundtrack, we hope everyone will be able to enjoy it.”
Created by sole developer HEY, Mecha Ritz: Steel Rondo is set in a mechanized world built by a young genius scientist named Veloce. After she had eradicated humankind, players will pilot humanity’s last hope, a “Mecha” imbued with human will, and battle their way through an onslaught of enemy waves.
