Magicka 2 Falls Out on Linux and Mac

Paradox Interactive, a publisher of games that go all-out, today released the award-wanting game Magicka 2 for Mac OS and Linux PCs. Magicka 2, the game that punishes spelling mistakes with instant death, is now playable on multiple operating systems, and can be enjoyed across all PCs this Fall – out now. Cross-platform play is included between Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. In addition, Magicka 2 will run on the newly available Steam Box with full Steam controller support, enabling players to use a Steam Box in Steam OS to cast Steam on their friends (who may become steamed). A recent update to the game has added three new elements to include in spells, giving wizards a new level of destructive power, but without any dangerous leftover radioactive particles whose name has been momentarily forgotten.

Magicka 2 brings players back to the world’s most irreverent co-op action adventure series, providing all-new game features alongside the original’s iconic spellcasting system, humor, and always-on friendly-fire. Guided by Vlad, up to four wizards at once can challenge a series of new levels in a co-op campaign, or take on challenge levels for score, prestige, and game-altering ‘artifacts’ that warp Magicka 2 in strange and wonderful ways. The world is invited to put on their robes and wizard hats, invite their friends, and learn to spell all over again.
