Today, independent developer Might and Delight announced a delay of Shelter 2. The game – a survival game starring a lynx family – will be arriving on Steam, Good old games and other digital platforms in Q1 2015. Might and Delight also drops a hint about their upcoming, 4th, project.
First the bad news
Shelter 2 is in mid production but the process is taking more time than anticipated. We are experimenting with a type of game that we have never created before, and have been forced to add a couple of months to the schedule. We firmly believe that this will give us a good opportunity to polish the game in all its aspects, as well as adding some new elements. We are of course terribly sorry for the delay and the inconvenience it causes.
And now the good news
While waiting for Shelter 2, we might interest you in something quite different. Today, we are happy to announce the release of a new title. Without giving it all away, we bring you this image from the games production. The game is currently in full development with a planned release very soon this year.

About Shelter 2
Shelter 2 is an open world adventure game that portraits the life cycle of a mother lynx, starting as a pregnant animal preparing her den for the coming litter, giving birth, and continuing in to a journey of parenthood where nurturing her cubs is paramount for survival. Shelter 2 is a spiritual sequel to the “Shelter” (released on PC 2013) but includes more elaborate gameplay features than its predecessor, such as stamina, different types of movements, jumps and a variety of prey to kill. Besides hunting there are several maternal features such as calling the cubs closer, making sure they drink water from rivers and lifting and carrying your cubs from harm’s way.
