Curve Digital has today announced its intention to split its Titan Invasion pack into two separate titles, Titan Attacks! and Revenge of the Titans, the former of which will be coming to PlayStation 3, 4 and Vita this May.
The decision was taken to allow more development time for Revenge of the Titans, originally developed by UK indie developer Puppygames, to be ported across to the PlayStation systems and was taken after a discussion with the games original developers.
Marketing Manager Rob Clarke said: “When we discovered Revenge of the Titans would take longer to port across, we had two options: either delay the release of the Titan Invasion pack until later in 2014 without a release date, or split the pack and get Titan Attacks! in the hands of players.”
Titan Attacks! is due to be released in early May on PlayStation 3, 4 and Vita. It will also be shown at the EGX Rezzed Expo in Birmingham from March 28th – March 30th.
Clarke commented: “Ultimately, nobody wants us to rush games out the door if we think they need extra time. We released six games on time last year, of all them very well received by both the press and the gamers, and it’s important we do our developers justice by giving their games the attention they need to become excellent PlayStation titles.”
