Voxoid releases strategy game Bubbliminate for Android, 15 years after the game’s inception

Today, after collecting digital dust for 15 years, Bubbliminate is finally being released to the world.

Move, grow, and split your bubbles to shrink, pop, and eliminate your opponents until you are the last survivor, in a turn-based strategy game simple enough for young children, yet intriguing and challenging enough for the masterminds. Play with friends, or against the computer levels, 2 to 8 players at a time.

In the year 2000, founder of Voxoid LLC Joel Becker, in high school at the time, invented the game based on the basic properties of circles, calling it “Protozoa” then.

“It was a reaction against the domination of squares and polygons in games; the circle just felt so refreshing, so I went with it.”

The game is available for free in the Google Play store, with one $0.99 in-app purchase for all of the CPU levels beyond Beginner. More information is available at the official website, http://bubbliminate.com. A YouTube trailer video at http://youtu.be/qs3qPFU1doI .
