Debut Virtual Reality Game from Minority Media Exits Early Access; PlayStation VR Launch to Follow
Time Machine VR (TMVR), the made-for-VR adventure game from Minority Media Inc., is available now for $29.99 USD on Rift and Vive, with a PlayStation VR launch slated for later this year. Featuring over 10 hours of gameplay and a gripping narrative penned by Jill Murray, an award-winning writer behind Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Time Machine VR leverages the scale and presence of VR to evoke wonder and pump adrenaline. In the role of an adventurous time-hopping cadet, players will be tasked with traveling to the Jurassic era to gather data on the ancient titans that roamed those oceans. This mission takes a dire turn when rising temperatures in the present free a deadly virus from the ice caps where it had lain dormant for millions of years. To prevent the extinction of the human race, the player must delve deeper into the past, seeking a cure among the marine monsters who survived the plague when it first emerged.
One of the first made-for-VR titles to hit Steam Early Access in 2015, Time Machine VR plunges players into the depths of prehistory, where they can use the Vive’s motion controls or the Rift’s gamepad to navigate the sometimes frightening, always awe-inspiring oceans of early Earth. To complete their mission, players will have a host of hi-tech tools at their disposal: the ability to freeze time, to bait dinosaurs and manipulate situations to their advantage, and to take live snapshots of dinosaurs in action at the push of a button.

SYNOPSIS
You are a time-travelling cadet tasked with exploring the Jurassic era and the ancient creatures that once ruled the prehistoric oceans. Things take a turn when melting ice caps in the present unleash an ancient deadly virus that lays waste to humanity… and the key to the cure lies in the extraordinary creatures of prehistory. You will need your wits and cunning to survive the past and save the future.
STORY MODE
Svalbard & the DinoDex
You begin your journey inside your mission hub, in Svalbard, Norway. It shelters your time machine and comes equipped with the DinoDex, a depository of the information you will collect from the prehistoric creatures you encounter. Every time you return to Svalbard with new discoveries, upload them to the DinoDex to unlock crucial data and creatures.
The Jurassic Oceans
Pilot your time machine through the treacherous oceans of prehistory, where mosasaurus, livyatan, and megalodon, among others, roam the deep. Use your high-tech equipment to track, probe, and scan these beasts, extracting the information you need. Bait creatures to turn risky situations to your advantage. Freeze time and perform dangerous close-up echography and take unique live snapshots of creatures in action with Behavior Scan as you strive to fulfill your mission.
EXPLORATION MODE
Revisit completed levels and unlock crucial intelligence about the Jurassic-era creatures you have faced. Then, follow these clues to uncover the key to human kind’s survival.
