With the goal of adding a squirt of two of juice to the kart racer, indie developer 3Dclouds is excited to announce All-Star Fruit Racing is now available on Steam Early Access (Steam), bringing its fast-paced, blue sky sprints to those eager for an early look!
All-Star Fruit Racing – still fresh from wowing crowds at Gamescom in Cologne last month – throws players behind the wheel of a kart in the midst of a fruit fuelled fiesta, charging through scores of expertly crafted tracks with power-ups aplenty designed to cause magnificent mayhem.
Handing players the opportunity to fully customize the look and feel of their character so they can create icons in their own right, All-Star Fruit Racing also employs a unique power-up system adding a sense of strategy to the carnage on the track.
Dubbed ‘The Juicer’, each kart sports four separate tanks designed to be filled by the fruit they pick up on track, enabling them to both combine moves and – when all the tanks are full – unlock a unique ‘Mega Juice’ power-up.
In all, All-Star Fruit Racing will sport both single-player and multiplayer modes, local split screen with four players, online multiplayer (in autumn), and an incredible roster of 22 characters to unlock – 11 of which will be available from the start of early access.
In terms of the races themselves, five islands playing host to 21 different tracks should ensure players have plenty of challenges to take on as they fight to be the juiciest racer on track. The first two islands, Winter island and Summer island, will be available from the start of early access, other two will be unlocked playing the game, while the last island will be released during the next months.
Players can challenge themselves in two different modes, Juicer mode and Classic mode from the start of early access. Other modes, Dragster, Elimination and Elimination Mix will be added afterwards.
The easy level of all racing formats (Custom Race, Career, Fast Championship, Custom Championship and Time Attack) will be available at the start of early access. Medium and difficult levels will be added as soon as possible, during early access as well.
