Absolute Hero Games announces the release of “Sam or I”, a casual social puzzle game built in HTML5. Set in Feudal Japan, Sam or I features an original and unique side-scrolling block mover mechanic in which the player destroys colorful clusters of blocks that impede Sam’s path to the end of each puzzle. Sam or I features a peppy protagonist, a gorgeous art style and environments reminiscent of feudal Japan, and a variety of social features and boosters available for in-app purchase. A first in HTML5 games, Sam or I delivers an experience on par with the leading free-to-play casual puzzle games.
In addition to it’s quality addictive gameplay and high production value, Sam or I stands out among casual games in it’s unprecedented use of HTML5 technology. The game is the first in the industry to offer a high quality social gaming experience on this scale, and it can be easily published to all modern desktop, mobile, browser and native platforms. Developed for both Facebook and native mobile, the gameplay is ideally suited for either mouse or touch play.
“Sam or I is the culmination of over two years of R&D, innovative engineering solutions and a collection of great tools we’ve either learned or developed with the goal of providing the best experience to our players on every screen.”, said Matt Nepsa, co-founder and Creative Director. “With Sam or I, we’ve been able to bridge gaps in the industry by delivering rich quality gameplay, high performance and reliability across modern devices and platforms, and it’s all built on a solid engine which supports social features and in-app purchasing.”
Sam or I is available today on Facebook, with iOS and Android versions coming soon.
