Frogmind, the independent creators of the 2013 Apple iPad Game of the Year, BADLAND, have released the much-anticipated BADLAND 2. This side-scrolling, action-adventure sequel grows on the award-winning world of BADLAND in even more stunning beauty with levels that extend and scroll in all directions. Fly and survive through new elements, such as liquids, flamethrowers, frost, magma, water and searing light. Fall down deadly rifts, fly to any direction, and race and jump along the surfaces to safety as an all-new charming, rolling character. The game’s immersive audio design and high-quality, atmospheric visuals pull players into a truly stunning world of beauty, wonder and danger.
“BADLAND 2 is our attempt to reinvent the first BADLAND,” said Juhana Myllys, co-founder and lead artist/designer of Frogmind. “We wanted BADLAND 2 to be worthy of the word ‘sequel.’ It’s not the old BADLAND just with new content. It is a whole new world to explore.”
BADLAND 2 features a single-player campaign with unique, physics-based challenges, as well as online stages for competing against friends in seasonal, globally ranked, asynchronous multiplayer events. More content for both modes is coming soon after launch through free updates. As with the first BADLAND, which has been updated dozens of times, the launch is just the beginning.
The intuitive, easy-to-grasp controls of BADLAND 2 are fine-tuned for precise maneuvering amidst the traps and puzzles on the journey. The title includes support for 3D Touch capability on iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, allowing for incredibly accurate touch sensitivity while flying. Home screen quick actions allow fast access to single-player and online modes, and iCloud progress synchronization is available across linked iOS devices.
BADLAND 2 is out now on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices for $4.99 / 4.99€ / 3.99£ on the App Store.
