Finnish game developer 10tons Ltd. announced today that the remastered version of Crimsonland will be available on Steam on June 11th 9:00 PDT. On release the game will support Windows and is priced at $13.99 USD.
“We’ve had so much fun playing the new edition of Crimsonland. The game simply feels amazing, in single player and especially in co-op mode. I’m really eager to see how the game is received, as Crimsonland is our very first Steam release.” says Tero Alatalo, CEO of 10tons Ltd.
Crimsonland is a remastered version of a 2003 top-down hardcore shooter classic. Among other things the 2014 version sports thoroughly remastered graphics and better support for local co-op play. The Steam version also includes full gamepad support, leaderboards and achievements. Mac and Linux support will be added at a later date. The game is also headed for Playstation 4 release in Summer 2014. PS Vita version will also be available later.
Previous purchasers of classic Crimsonland can apply for a free Steam key. In order to apply for the free key, the applicant needs to e-mail a proof of purchase to crimsonland(dot)classic(at)10tons.com. The proof of purchase will be checked against the sales records.
