Green Lava Studios and Reverb Triple XP announced today the critically-acclaimed action-platformer Fenix Rage will launch on PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system in early 2015. Delivering all of the delectably furious platforming action PC gamers have raved about since its recent PC Steam launch, Fenix Rage for PlayStation®Vita will arrive in conjunction with the previously announced versions on PlayStation®4 computer entertainment and Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft.
The mechanics of Fenix Rage are simple – infinite jump and dash paired with instant restarts. Players will race through hundreds of increasingly difficult levels, with new mechanics like fire, ice and jump portals introduced. Each level has a split-second of opportunity for passage through the hordes of unrelenting enemies: either approach the obstacles through trial and error or pause to mentally traverse the level and plan for an optimal route.
“We’ve always been big fans of the PlayStation®Vita as a platform and after reading several requests from people who wanted to play Fenix Rage on-the-go, we’re pretty excited to be able to bring our first game to it,” said Eduardo Ramirez, lead programmer and founder of Green Lava Studios. “But for those who have been following or have played the PC version, don’t worry – the Vita version of Fenix Rage will have new challenges and features that will be worth going through the rage again and again.”
With a current 100% Steam customer rating, step into the fast shoes of Fenix, a really sweet creature of speed and (blocky) cuteness… then feel his boundless rage. He is pissed! You would be too if your village was decimated by a huge explosion, leaving only two survivors: Fenix and the mysterious enemy Oktarus. Fenix will track down this shadowy villain through nine worlds, defeating righteously brutal bosses and hundreds of minions bent on his destruction, on a mission to return order and harmony back to his world.
Fenix Rage is available now on PC via Steam for $14.99. For the latest buzz visit the official Website at www.FenixRage.com.
