Fish Time for Apple Watch

Wooga is excited to announce the launch of Fish Time, now available to download for Apple Watch.

Fish Time is Wooga’s third game for Apple Watch and sees players explore the open waters to rescue rare aquatic creatures from polluted seas. The game makes full use of the exciting new technology available to developers in watchOS 3. Built in SpriteKit, Apple’s new 2D game engine allows for rich, beautifully animated artwork native on the platform – bringing Fish Time’s rare creatures and oceans to life. The new OS also allows for new intuitive gesture controls, like swiping to cast a lure, as well as allowing players to use the Digital Crown to choose the depth at which they explore.

Paul Virapen, Head of Studio at Wooga, commented on the launch: “Developing Fish Time with the new technology available to us in watchOS 3 has allowed us to create our most feature rich and intuitive Apple Watch game yet. We feel this is a big leap forward for games on the platform and we hope Fish Time captures players’ imaginations”.

In the game, players cast their lure into the water and select the depth of water to fish. With their lure resting beneath the waves players can either try and attract a fish to bite with a quick tap or wait it out for a better chance at landing something rare – easily viewable from the watch face thanks to custom Complications.

Fish Time launches with two oceans to explore, 35+ creatures to rescue as well as a whole host of boat, rod and lure upgrades. Fish Time is entirely free to play with no in-app purchases.
