InnoGames released the new mobile app for its strategic browser game, Grepolis, on Apple’s App Store. From now on, iOS users can access their Grepolis accounts from anywhere, without missing key features. The app offers all main features of the browser version, with more functions to come, and also allows for simple handling via touchscreen gestures, thanks to the optimized and newly designed interface.
Direct play and access of the game’s advanced functions, such as alliance forums, daily bonuses and the advisors are also available. The game is playable on all iPhones – iPad users can already check the app with an enlarged screen, but a dedicated tablet version is also underway. The Android version of the new app has been in the works along with the iOS-build and will follow within the next few weeks. The Grepolis app has been introduced by InnoGames at this year’s Gamescom and E3.
InnoGames is in the process of evolving into a cross-platform gaming company. Joining the upcoming Grepolis iOS and Android apps, the classic browser title Tribal Wars is already available on iOS and Android devices. More than 200,000 users access Tribal Wars on the go regularly. The company also is working on bringing its hugely successful browser game Forge of Empires to iOS-devices and has several projects in the works that will be released as cross-platform at launch-time.
Grepolis is a strategy game set in Ancient Greece. In the free browser-based title, players are tasked with building up a vast metropolis and uniting with other players to establish a powerful military and conquer far away islands. Currently it boasts over 20 million registered users and is playable in 22 languages.
Next to Grepolis, games company InnoGames has published major browser game titles like Forge of Empires, Tribal Wars and The West. With more than 100 million registered users, the German company belongs to the biggest developers and publishers of online games.
