illogika Debuts Trailer and Screenshots for Subaeria, the Puzzle Adventure Game Coming to PC in 2015

illogika just released the first screenshots and teaser trailer for Subaeria, their story-driven puzzle platformer coming to PC in mid-2015. This is the first gameplay footage ever shown for Subaeria, giving a sneak peek at how a “procedural death labyrinth” plays out in the game’s flooded dystopia.

In these new assets, you’ll get a glimpse at the in-game mazes, filled with a hardcore security system (comprised of hordes of “cleaning robots”), along with hidden high-tech gadgets that players can use to set and avoid enemy traps.

Still in early development, the first live Subaeria demos were shown last week at MontrealX. illogika is available for one-on-one walkthroughs with press now, and working hard to finalize a hands-on preview build in the next few weeks.

Offering a new take on rogue-like game mechanics, Subaeria features branching storylines within puzzle platformer gameplay that requires players to find ways to avoid direct combat with enemies. Rather than employ guns, knives or magical bolts of death (which illogika acknowledges are pretty awesome), the only way to survive the world of Subaeria is to trip, trick and trap opponents. You’ll choose between several characters, who have varying views on the world around them, and put your observational skills to work to succeed in-game.

Subaeria is set to launch on PC in mid-2015.
