In the spring of 2015, Tower of Guns is spraying and praying its way to retail. This great first-person shooter by SOEDESCO, GRIP Digital and Terrible Posture Games has been described as a combination of the Binding of Isaac meets Doom 2.
Imre Schouten, Marketing Manager at SOEDESCO said the following about the game: “Tower of Guns is an excellent shooter with old school leanings. That is one of the reasons why a retail release is such a logical fit.” He further added: “We are also very happy that SOEDESCO has finally added a first person shooter to its portfolio. Tower of Guns with its retro gameplay style and unique visuals is a very good match for SOEDESCO.”
Always a fresh experience: Random enemies, random powerups, random bosses, tons of unlockable items and weapons…even random-level compositing! You never know what to expect when you sit down in front of Tower of Guns.
Crazy powerups: You’ve played first person shooters where you can double jump, but have you played any game where you can centuple-jump? In Tower of Guns, with the right items, you can!.
Gun-modifying madness: A gun and its qualities aren’t tied together in Tower of Guns. Do you like rocket launchers? You’ll like them more if you’re lucky enough to stumble upon a “Shotgun” modifier. A rocket-launching shotgun is very satisfying.
Single sitting full experience: For all of those who have too many games (or too little time) this is a game you can pick up and play again and again, without remembering where you were or what you were up to. If you’re gonna win, you’re gonna be able to do it over your lunch break. That’s a big if though, it won’t be easy…
Tower of Guns is going to be released digitally, published by GRIP Digital s.r.o. and in retail, published by SOEDSCO, for the PlayStation®3, PlayStation®4 and PC and will also be released digitally for Xbox One the all-in-one games and entertainment system.
About Tower of Guns
Tower of Guns is a fast paced randomized FPS in the style of old school shooters, a short burst “Lunch Break FPS” not unlike Binding of Isaac mixed with Doom 2. If you’re going to win, you will do so within an hour. That’s a big if though, because it won’t be easy. With random enemies, random power ups, random bosses, tons of unlockable items and weapons and even random-level compositing you will never know what to expect! So grab a rocket-launcher, slap a shotgun-modifier on it, pick up a hundred stackable ‘double jumps’ (or centuple jumps at that point) and get to conquering the Tower of guns!
What is the press saying about the game?
“It’s ‘Borderlands of Isaac’, a roguish Quakelike delight”
– Adam Smith, Rock Paper Shotgun
“I declined the offer of a press copy because it’s a damn fun game…I figured [the developer] had earned my early-alpha entry fee”
– James Cunningham, Hardcore Gamer
“You can pick up the game and start enjoying yourself almost instantly…There’s a purity of design at work that’s rare in the first-person shooter genre today.”
– Andrew Groen, Penny-Arcade
