Nomad Games Limited has adapted the classic Games Workshop board game, Talisman, for iPad. Nomad Games Limited is also currently working on an on-going series of downloadable expansions for the game.
Talisman on iPad offers the full board game experience, with many new ways to enjoy the gameplay and detailed visuals of this iconic card and dice based adventure. Talisman allows solo-play against AI opponents, multiplayer pass to play and online competition against distant adversaries. Game Center challenges and leaderboards provide an integrated environment for players to share the fun.
Talisman is easy to learn, yet offers depth of play through its variety of role-play character types, magic spells and pure high fantasy. Fighting Dragons, performing alchemy or magic and defeating the Grim Reaper are just a few of the many possible scenarios, and each game tells its own unique and memorable tale.
Talisman is available on the App Store, together with the first in the popular expansion series, The Reaper, which adds many new characters, spells and cards. iPad with Retina display owners will appreciate the beauty and detail of the revised 4th Edition artwork, while the whole family will be able to enjoy fun TV based gaming through Air-Play connectivity. Talisman will come to other mobile platforms in the near future.
‘On iPad, the Talisman series is a superb way for friends and family to enjoy high-quality fantasy adventure board gaming together, wherever they are,” said Don Whiteford, Co-Founder of Nomad Games.
‘We have been delighted to see our classic IP translated so beautifully by Nomad to the digital medium, and now that it’s on iPad as well, players will be able to enjoy it wherever they are and with other gamers all over the world,” said Jon Gillard, Head of Licensing at Games Workshop.
The Talisman App is available for $6.99 (£4.99) from the App Store on iPad or at www.AppStore.com.
