Danish indie studio Osao games walked away with four trophies for their steampunk-style 2D adventure puzzle-platformer Chronology, winning both the Development Award and the European Games Booster for „Best Mobile/Tablet“ and „Best Casual Game“ at this year’s Game Connection, which was held the 29th of October in Paris.
With over one million downloads across Steam and iOS App Store, Chronology has proven itself to be a strong first launch for Osao games, and amid the success, Osao Games additionally launched on Windows 8 store the 13th of November. “Winning the two most important categories at this year’s Development Awards is confirmation that we’ve really built something unique and amazing”, said Thomas Nielsen from Osao Games.
In Chronology, players travel between planes of time in charming, hand-drawn steampunk environments that feature unique puzzle-solving elements. Follow the journey of a brilliant, Einstein-esque inventor and his mechanically inclined snail as they reshape the outcome of their world.

Chronology begins with the protagonist – The Old Inventor – awakes with no memory among the desolate remains of a world once crowded with life. Upon discovering a time travel device, the inventor sets out to restore the timeline with the help of a talking snail who can stop time. Players will control both characters to solve the game’s intricate puzzles, switching between the beautiful, idyllic past and the dark, dystopian future.
Chronology debuted on Steam this past May, followed by the launch of the iOS version on September 10, Windows Phone Store October 2 and now on Windows 8 Store November 13. “Part 1” contains three chapters for free. ‘Part 2’ is available in he game as an IAP for €2.99 with additional parts to follow.
