Vancouver developer Over The Moon has just released their first title, The Fall, on the Wii U eShop. The game is making its debut at $9.99 and will be available in the Americas, with a European release planned for the future.
The Fall is a unique, story driven blend of action platforming and traditional adventure gaming puzzles. It has already had a warm reception in the PC gaming community since its May release this year, and developer Over The Moon believes that the game is particularly well suited for Wii U players. “They showed us overwhelming support during our Kickstarter campaign,” says Over The Moon’s founder John Warner, “so we’re excited to see how well the game is received. We already owe a large part of our success thus far to the Wii U community.” John credits some of this to The Fall bearing a likeness to its inspiration, Super Metroid, and hopes that Wii U players everywhere will feel at home in the game’s world.
