Chubby Chicken is an iPhone game made by Beelieve, Madre and Jeff Ramos, companies from Porto Alegre in the south of Brazil. It is an addicting game with a very simple one-tap gameplay, you just cannot let the chicken fall in the water by tapping the sea pigeons! We built this game in a 48 hour hackathon along with another 2 games that are coming in the following weeks. Chubby Chicken is free with ads that can be removed for US$ 0.99 and it is already available at iTunes App Store.
We are teachers from an iOS development course in Porto Alegre and we wanted to prove to our students that it’s possible to make a functional and beautiful game in a weekend. Thinking on that, we went in a 48 hour hackathon and we did not build one game but three! We love making games and with the great feedback that we are receiving we are thinking in doing a bunch more.
There is already an update coming to Chubby Chicken and there is a list of about 10 new features by now. Also, we have a bunch of ideas for new games and we are planning to build them by 2 or 3 per month. All of those games are really simple and casual to let people have fun while they are in a bus, waiting for something, passing time and, of course, want to play a good game. 🙂
