Corbomite Games today announced the release of the awarded puzzle platformer game “Avner”. The game is now available for PC, Mac, Linux through the Humble Widget with a “Pay What You Want” pricing and mobile platforms such as iOS, Android, WIndows 8 and Windows 8 Phone app stores.

Avner is a game in which the player is a character named Avner, a hero trapped in a strange world and captured by a traveling circus. Luckily for him, he have some control over gravity and is able to create small power sources that can affect him or his environment.
Avner is a 2D platform action-puzzle game in a 3D environment, similar to games such as Little big planet and Trine in its game mechanics but involves a puzzle part at its core.
“I’ve fell in love with the unique concept, amazing graphics and relatively high polish of this game as soon as i saw it, when it was still being developed as a student’s game.” said Oded Sharon, CEO of Corbomite Games. “I offered Doron and Gil, my former students a chance to help them and publish their games in both Mobile and Desktop and other platforms. In the past few months we’ve been working hard to polishing and finishing the development of the game for its release.”

The game combined two main elements:
The first one is a fast pace game that requires dexterity and speed and the second element is a puzzle resolution game, in which the player has to figure out a solution and try at it until he overcomes the obstacle.
