BANDAI NAMCO Games Europe S.A.S. today announces that ACE COMBAT ® INFINITY will be officially launching on May 28th, 2014 in Europe and Australasia. ACE COMBAT INFINITY combines the franchises signature look and intense aerial combat with a brand new story campaign, team co-op multiplayer, and Player vs. Player combat that will arrive shortly after the game’s official launch. ACE COMBAT INFINITY will be available in Europe and Australasia exclusively as a Free-to-Play download for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system via the PlayStation®Network.
ACE COMBAT INFINITY marks the first time the storied Ace Combat franchise has entered the Free-to-Play gaming arena. Players will dive into the game’s wealth of Free-to-Play content and fight to rule the skies with powerful combat aircraft, advanced weaponry, and cunning piloting skills. The storyline in ACE COMBAT INFINITY combines a near future world setting with gameplay elements that have resonated with fans from previous Ace Combat titles, including fierce dogfights with enemy aces, boss battles against giant aircrafts and bases all presented with hyper-realistic visuals. ACE COMBAT INFINITY’s Story Campaign mode will immerse players in an original storyline where they will complete a series of solo missions. The game’s online Co-op Multiplayer mode will allow aces to form two teams of up to four players and compete head-to-head to inflict the most damage on a common enemy. Finally, ACE COMBAT INFINITY’s newly announced Player vs. Player mode will pit pilots against each other to fight for bragging rights and air supremacy.
