Maximum Games announced a joint venture with HB Studios to release Infinite Air featuring Mark McMorris, the first open-world, physics-based snowboarding video game built in partnership and close collaboration with top snowboarder Mark McMorris. Infinite Air boasts vast, customizable mountain ranges and a highly reactive, fluid control system, promising to be the most authentic snowboarding game to date. Gamers can get on board this fall when Infinite Air releases on PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One and PC.
“We could not be happier to be working with HB Studios again,” said Christina Seelye, CEO of Maximum Games. “They are masters at creating in-depth sports games and making the thrill of sports accessible to everyone.”
With the ability to sculpt terrain in an endless backcountry, publish your best runs, participate in Halfpipe, Slopestyle and Big Air competitions, and challenge friends online, Infinite Air combines the exciting social aspects of snowboarding with the exhilaration of a hyper-realistic experience on the snow. Infused with the riding style of Mark McMorris, and featuring the top athlete as a playable character in the game, Infinite Air will focus on real world physics to give players a genuine taste of the sport.
“The fascinating thing about video games is that they open up possibilities that wouldn’t be an option in real life, and Infinite Air is the ultimate example of that,” said Peter Garcin, Executive Producer at HB Studios. “We’d all love to snowboard like Mark, and now with this game, we all can.”
Players will have an unparalleled amount of riding expression at their fingertips as they master skills – whether shredding infinite powder-laden runs or testing their abilities on custom courses. They will also have the option to place rails, jumps and other obstacles just about anywhere to build their own unique terrain parks. With procedurally generated mountains and a deep editor that lets players produce and share their creations for the world to ride, Infinite Air brings the mountain to you when it launches this fall on PS4™ system, Xbox One, and PC.
