Bergsala Lightweight LLC and Austin-based Scarab Entertainment today announced that Hello Kitty Kruisers, a family-friendly racing game, is now in development for Wii U release in Q4 2013 with other platforms, including iOS and Android, to follow. Targeting girls and a broader family demographic, Hello Kitty Kruisers will bring Hello Kitty to consoles in an action-packed adventure. On land, over water, and through air, race your way to victory as Hello Kitty and her Sanrio ® friends bring the whole family together when the game hits shelves later this year.
“The idea of having a Sanrio console game that my son and daughter can enjoy together (and with me) was an obvious yes,” said Karim Farghaly, CEO of Scarab Entertainment. “We’re taking one of the best-selling genres (kart racing) and turning it into something more exciting for the Wii U generation.”

•Unlock new characters, vehicles, power-ups and customizable gear to personalize (and rev-up) your gameplay experience.

The Wii U and Mobile versions will be published by Bergsala Lightweight LLC who has previously published other Sanrio-branded titles such as “Loving Life with Hello Kitty and Friends” (Nintendo DS) and “Travel Adventures with Hello Kitty” (Nintendo 3DS).
