Jasper Byrne’s psychological horror game Lone Survivor is now available to purchase in America and Europe. The game is available for $12.99 / £9.99 / €12.99 and includes Cross Buy and Cross Save support, allowing PlayStation fans to own and play the game across both consoles for a single price.
The European release, available a day earlier than originally reported, includes localisation to both French and German, the first time the game has been fully localised to European languages.
Lone Survivor: The Director’s Cut is the latest in a series of independent games published and developed for PlayStation consoles by Curve Digital and Curve Studios, working with the Strategic Content Team at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.
Working closely with Byrne, Curve has been developing the Director’s Cut edition for eight months, adding hours of new content and features to the original PC release.
“Don’t be fooled into thinking this is just a port to console,” said Jason Perkins, Managing Director of Curve Digital. “It’s very clear just how much work Jasper and the team at Curve have put into making this a game worthy of the ‘Director’s Cut’ title”.
Along with a completely new lighting system designed to improve the games distinctive style both on HD televisions and the vibrant Vita screen, The Director’s Cut edition of Lone Survivor also features hundreds of tweaks and changes to the original game including new dialogue, over twenty new items, brand new endings, trophies and secrets. For those brave enough, the game also includes a platinum trophy.
Byrne said: “I’m really proud and excited to bring you this enhanced version of Lone Survivor which has been a labour of love from all involved. I’m very excited to see how the fans react on discovering the secret new content, and very much look forward to their interpretations of it.”
