Nival, the developer of cross-platform strategy games, has announced that popular PC game Prime World: Defenders, is now available to players in the US and Europe on iOS devices. Prime World: Defenders merges classic tower defense gameplay with collectible card game mechanics. Originally released on Steam for PC in 2013, the game is available to English-, French-, German- and Spanish-speaking players in the App Store).
In Prime World: Defenders, players fight off hordes of monstrous mutants created from a strange cataclysmic event. Players join a group of exile treasure hunters who have ventured into the capital of an ancient empire, vast with mystery and danger. The game features a story-driven single-player campaign with endless maps and Heroic Mode. Towers, spells and traps take the form of magic cards that players can collect and upgrade as they progress. The game also features randomly generated missions, a feature rarely seen in tower defense games.
“We’re thrilled to continue to expand the Prime World franchise with the release of Defenders in the App Store,” said Sergey Orlovskiy, Founder and CEO of Nival. “With this mobile release we’ve extended the high-quality PC gaming experience that our players love. The mobile version has been enhanced for touch screens, with full-scale PC-level graphics. Our hope is that players will enjoy Defenders on iOS just as they have on PC.”
Prime World: Defenders for PC has garnered accolades from gamers and press alike. Forbes.com called it “a must play for any tower defense enthusiast.” GamingNexus.com said that “Nival has nailed the core concepts of the genre.” For more information about Nival or Prime World: Defenders visit www.nival.com.
