The first multiplayer iOS tower defense/wars game that allows players to both defend as well as attack, Sabaton Games’ Aspects TD, is now available on the App Store.
In Aspects TD, players take on the aspect of a demigod in the service of the goddess Ixis, protecting the land of Nymira from an invasion of dark forces. Each demigod can summon totems (towers) to defend and phantoms (creeps) to attack. Since successful attacks generate income, players will need to strike a delicate balance between maintaining just enough totems to avoid being overrun but not so many they run out of resources in the long term.
Each of the game’s three demigods has access to unique perks and totems that open up different strategic options. As players progress through the Aspects TD, their tactical combinations increase until they gain access to a total of 16 totems and 12 phantoms.
With Aspects TD, Sabaton Games set out to bring the strategic complexity of the tower defense/wars genre to iOS gamers.
“This one is for the fans! Our team loves tower defense games, but there is a dearth of the tower wars subgenre of games for iOS devices,” Alex Zhonghui, founder, Sabaton Games, said. “Our goal was to take the very best of these games from the PC world and brings those features to the mobile gaming.”
Tower defense fans can play through the single player story mode alone or challenge their friends over a Bluetooth or local wireless network. The game will have 19 levels in the story mode at launch, with many more in the works.
Aspects TD is available for the launch sale price of $1.99 USD on the App Store. After the sale the game will cost $2.99.
