Five Nights at Freddy’s rules the Qi Android games chart for September with fear. It manages to create a genuinely terrifying atmosphere as your hapless security guard flees from a band of animatronic killers. Eek! At number three, Appointment With F.E.A.R. is an entertainingly gaudy comic book story played out with an extra dose of interactivity. Create your own hero and set out on your choose-your-own-adventure path. Just behind at number four, ALONE… manages to breath new life into the tired old endless runner. It does so with stylish stripped-back visuals, a unique space-spelunking setting, and a delightful inverted control system. Finishing off a very classy September is CounterSpy, down at number eight. This is Sony’s impossibly slick and cool stealth-’em-up, which is equal parts The Incredibles, James Bond, and Metal Gear Solid.
Facetune tops the Qi Android apps chart for September, with its array of clever selfie-enhancing features. Retouch your picture to a near-Photoshop level of expertise – but without the need for any skill on your part. At number two, EndlessJabber SMS lets you text from the comfort of your desktop computer. All it needs is your Android phone number, and your messages will be synced. Agenday Smart Calendar is one of the brighter calendar apps you’ll encounter. It integrates your calendar and contacts, providing you with meeting notifications and contextual information as well as one-touch video and audio conferencing. Finally, at number nine, there’s Lookhu, which provides a selection of popular and exclusive movies, TV shows, and games on a free ad-funded basis. These can be instantly streamed to your phone. We all like free stuff, eh?
