Evil Twin Artworks proudly announce the release of their anticipated new title, Victory at Sea. The Swindon based game developer has teamed up with Mongoose Publishing to bring Naval strategy table-top game Victory at Sea to PC and Mac, available on Steam and Mac App Store.
The new game picks up where the board game left off, playing through three theatres of war, all based on actual sea battles that took place in World War II. As you take the helm of Allied Forces ships, you’re thrust into the action through three different game modes; campaign, custom battle and historical, all driven by real world events such as D-Day and escorting the USS Indianapolis to Tinian. Players can even patrol shipping lanes to cut off supply lines to enemy ports before attacking them in both night and day scenarios, whilst navigating varied and sometimes extreme weather systems.
Having been inspired by the original tabletop game, there are a great many new content additions, creating a deeper experience for those up to the challenge of commanding some of the greatest navel battles that have ever taken place. Evil Twin Creative Director Mark Carroll said “We’ve been very proud to work on Victory At Sea and have very much enjoyed the challenge of bringing such a well loved tabletop game to PC. Breathing fresh life into the idea and giving it a new dimension has been extremely fun and rewarding. The team is also excited to be showcasing the game in Cologne, Germany next week, as part of the UKIE supported“British Seaside” themed UK industry stand at this year’s Gamescom. Last years UK industry pavilion event saw over £16 million worth of business done by 40 businesses exhibiting across the three days of the show. The Evil Twins are setting their sights on being part of this years UK success story, and will be flying the British flag high whilst in Germany.
